Jaime Urdiales

Jaime Urdiales (1994, Losar de la Vera, Extremadura) moved to Madrid at the age of 18 to study Fine Arts. He soon began traveling to cities such as Miami, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and New York, which profoundly influenced his visual language. Coming from a rural background, his work reflects a romanticized vision of the urban and cosmopolitan, inspired by classic Hollywood cinema and the imaginary of the "American Dream."

His work transforms everyday objects, such as neon signs or forgotten symbols, into tributes to nostalgia, addressing themes such as identity, uprooting, and dissociation. With a bright and vibrant aesthetic, it conceals a subtle and thoughtful social critique, inviting the viewer to look beyond the surface. Irony, longing, and cultural construction from a distance are key to his visual narrative.

In just a few years, Urdiales has established himself as one of the emerging voices in Spanish art. He has exhibited in the United States, Europe, and Asia, and participated in ARCO 2025, reaffirming his international presence. His work demonstrates how the combination of vision, perseverance, and authenticity can transform an artist's career.

In between Ibiza has had the honour of exhibiting his work as part of our ‘MADE IN SPAIN’ group show summer 2025, and in Amsterdam at the Enari Gallery, Autumn 2025.
