Miranda Makaroff

Miranda Makaroff was born in Spain in 1984, the daughter of an Argentinian father and a Spanish mother, both artists, musicians, and fashion designers. This naturally artistic environment allowed her, from a young age, to play and experiment with different media, which led her to discover her own language: one in which all the arts can coexist. A lexicon built from her multiple interests as a painter, sculptor, designer, and actress.

Her work has been exhibited at the Moco Museum, at Art Basel Miami Beach 2019, in a solo exhibition at Mirat Projects Madrid under the name Pamplemousse, and in 2021 at Estudi Tur Costa, Ibiza, Spain, and her most recent solo show (2025) at the Sorondo gallery in Barcelona.

Makaroff's work moves between the theatrical and playful nature of the external world, and the solemnity of the inner world. With dynamism, she seeks the truth, delves into the visceral, observes the darkness, listens to the silence, and embraces fear. She openly celebrates women while exploring a visual universe without restrictions or preconceived principles, giving rise to a diverse, vibrant palette laced with ironic humor.
