Currently in Amsterdam Exhibiting: What Remains of the Real

Featuring Irene Molina & Jaime Urdiales
at the Enari Gallery

What remains of the Real, where material traces and memory bring together the work of Irene Molina and Jaime Urdiales, is an exhibition featuring two contemporary Spanish artists whose practices intersect through a shared concern with how memory and identity are shaped, stored, and reimagined within the digital age. Blurring the boundary between the real and the artificial, Molina constructs hybrid landscapes and objects that exist between material and virtual space. Through processes such as photogrammetry, 3D printing, and digital animation, she transforms technical glitches and digital errors into art - materialising the fleeting, impermanent moments that usually disappear on our screens.

Urdiales, meanwhile, uses nostalgia and mass culture to reveal how we take solace in memories or imagery of the past - neon signs, billboards, toys, and commercial icons - allowing him to create his own visual language through oil paint.

Together, the artists create a dialogue: where Molina materialises the virtual, giving body to what technology forgets, Urdiales humanises the artificial, tracing the emotional residues of culture. Both ask us to consider what it means to remember - how memory survives, shifts, and transforms in a world where the digital and present always overwrites the past.

In-Between Ibiza is a new contemporary art gallery situated within the castle of Dalt Vila, Ibiza.

MISSION STATEMENT

Located between the castle’s iconic entrance and the Museum of Contemporary Art Ibiza, the gallery bridges the gap between tradition and modernity. In-Between Gallery will present a programme of artists whose work reflects the island’s vibrant, free-spirited identity and matches the energy of the creative community. Our mission is to cultivate an inclusive environment where the public can engage with thought-provoking exhibitions, and artists are empowered to share their unique voices.

The cosmopolitan island of Ibiza has a unique identity, beyond its natural beauty it promotes freedom and the unconventional and that is why we feel that the Island is the perfect location for us.

The gallery advocates for art as a way to connect with community, nature, and oneself, but our goal is also to promote the values and themes which lie at the heart of Ibizan culture and history. Everyone can learn from these values of diversity, peace, acceptance, creativity, sustainability, and respect for nature. We hope to build a space where people can come together not only to appreciate art but also to engage with these themes.

The open-mindedness and harmony that define Ibizan culture offer a profound source of inspiration for all, reminding us that if the world embraced these values, it would undoubtedly be a better place.
