Alma Berrow
Alma Berrow creates ceramic works that draw from everyday experiences, personal memories, and moments from her formative years. Her practice often centers on small, easily overlooked objects—such as pocket litter or household remnants—which she reimagines through a playful and slightly surreal lens. These familiar items become storytelling tools, revealing contemporary habits, social taboos, and traces of lived experience.
Berrow’s work blends humor with a quiet sense of nostalgia, offering a fresh take on the still life tradition. By transforming the ordinary into something strange and beautiful, she invites viewers to see everyday life in new and unexpected ways.
Based in London, Berrow studied Art and Textiles at Falmouth University. She began working in ceramics during the first Covid-19 lockdown, a period that marked a turning point in the evolution of her artistic voice.
