Irene Molina

A visual artist whose work lies at the intersection of the digital and the physical, exploring the hybrid relationships that emerge between these worlds. Through techniques such as photogrammetry, 3D printing, and digital animation, Irene Molina constructs landscapes and objects that function as bridges between sculptural materiality and the immaterial possibilities of the screen. In her work, digital error ceases to be a technical defect and becomes an aesthetic agent that questions the perception of space and sensory experience in the era of ubiquitous virtuality.

A graduate in Fine Arts from the University of Granada and with a Master's in Artistic Production from the University of Malaga, her career has been recognized with awards such as the BMW Award for Digital Art (2022).

She has been a resident at the Antonio Gala Foundation and has exhibited at institutions such as the Lux Festival at La Térmica in Malaga, the Mayrit Festival, a biennial of design and architecture, at the National Museum of Decorative Arts in Madrid, and the Saatchi Gallery in London.

At the core of her artistic practice lies a constant question:

How can we inhabit the digital present through a material corporeality? Irene responds to this question by creating objects and environments that, between artifice and simulation, generate a critical dialogue about our relationship with virtual environments and the altered ecologies of the 21st century. She currently resides in Madrid, where she continues to develop her work and collaborate on interdisciplinary projects from a critical and experimental perspective.

In between Ibiza has had the honour of exhibiting Irene’s work as part of our ‘MADE IN SPAIN’ group show, summer 2025, and in Amsterdam at the Enari Gallery, Autumn 2025.
