Malvina is an abstract painter who works primarily with natural pigments. Based in the peaceful northern part of Ibiza, in Santa Agnès, her practice is deeply rooted in the landscape that surrounds her. Malvina describes painting as a form of wakeful meditation, where a meditative gaze and emotional perception guide an intuitive process of self-enquiry and unravelling the unknown.

She works outdoors, directly immersed in nature, allowing the environment to become an active collaborator in the creation of her paintings. Rainwater mixes with raw pigments, wind shifts the canvas, sunlight alters textures, and sometimes even soil becomes embedded within the work. As a result, each painting is entirely unique and impossible to reproduce, shaped not only by the artist's hand but also by the elements themselves.

Her practice is also intensely physical. Working with unstretched canvases laid directly on the ground, she continually moves both herself and the surface as she paints. There is a strong sense of rhythm and movement within her work, perhaps informed by her early training as a ballerina.
