Two distinct approaches to abstraction meet in a dialogue between instinct and intention, movement and stillness, chaos and control. Working from very different visual languages, Malvina Kang Hughes and Jesús de Miguel share an openness to the unexpected - allowing the painting to evolve through gesture, intuition, environment and accumulated experience.

Both artists are deeply connected to Ibiza, yet neither seeks simply to represent the island. Instead, its landscape, energy, history and contradictions become part of a wider conversation about how images emerge, how we recognise them, and when we allow them to take on a life of their own
